Alicia Poon's Biography

Hi, my name's Alicia Hei Lui Poon, age 12, and I was born in Hong Kong. I started learning flute ever since I was 4 years old and my passion for playing flute has only kept blooming since then. I love playing the flute, since I can relax and enjoy the music I'm playing.  I'm blessed with the care and inspirations of my music teachers over the years.

I'm currently in the school wind ensemble team and have obtained Gold Award in 75th HK Schools Music Festival 2023, Third place in 6th Vienna Virtuoso Music Competition 2023, Gold Medalist in 2022 Quebec Music Competition, Silver Prize of 2021 Citta di Massa Xth Concorso International competition for young musicians, Gold Prize in 22nd Osaka International Music Competition Hong Kong, Taiwan round, Silver Award of The Hong Kong Young Musician festival 2020 and Third Place of The International Young Artist Music Contest 2020.

Besides playing flute, I also love reading books and making all sorts of art and craft!
